I love this chuck. I've owned it for about 15 years, and it is such a time-saver! The only thing I can find wrong with it is that, over time, it can occasionally loosen up while using your Dremel. I've remedied that by using a wrench to tighten it, but over time you end up stripping the grips. After 15 years' use, however, it's probably just time to get a new one. It's terrific to have a greater range in tool use because of this piece, though, and I'll never go back to having to switch out those little internal chuck-adjustment pieces again.

I like Dremel tool, but I didn't like the implementation of collets. Thought expensive and does not obsoletes collets 100%, it's a valuable accessory that I use 90% of the time.

I design and make prototype multi-layered PCBs of 10 mil trace width, for testing prior to sending it to the board house. It firmly holds micro size drills.

This is a great value kit!!! the small carving pieces are for fine detail work, and i recommend the use of those devices for a flexshaft. They are almost the same thing that foredom kit AK65, the bonus on this kit are the diamond covered bits which are great for wood, glass etc. And the silicon carbide stones are great for glass etc. I am very satisfied with Amazon.

"Now this is more like it!" 2010-08-04

I bought the 10.8 volt version for my work when it came out, the problem with the old version was the motor was too weak to really do serious work. The motor kept shutting off, battery ran down quickly, unit got really hot. After using it lightly (and I mean lightly) for about a year, the wheel bearings wore-out on it. When I saw the Dremel 8200 it immediately caught my eye. What I liked about it was that it was really big. Held it in my hands and it didn't feel like a toy at all. Looked on the box, it said 12V high-performance, immediately bought it. Went home, tested it, started cutting some really hardened steel, went through it like butter, wow! Now this a tool that I can really use on the job. Allot of torque even in the lowest setting. The only thing I think dremel messed up on is the battery, although I've yet to do some testing to see how long the battery lasts in real-world on the job work, judging from the similar size to the older 10.8 volt version, I imagine run time will be similar. They should of doubled the cells for this unit, or at least included two batteries with it, I wouldn't mind paying $150 for it. Now I need to buy a second battery. Great tool!

The Dremel 8200 12V Lithium Ion is what I always hoped to have in a cordless rotary tool. Don't kid yourself into thinking it's as good as corded Dremel. It isn't.

The Lithium Ion battery is the new standard for cordless tools. They retain their charge and provided plenty of current when under load.

The on-off switch and variable speed works well. First thing I did was ditch the next fixed size tool holder for $10 infinitely adjustable accessory. For $100 it should have come with it. This is an upgrade to 12 year old 7.2 volt cordless Dreamel which still works including the original pack that still holds and delivers a charge.

The Lithium Ion pack will live a long time as well as long as you don't run it to zero. I know this from my radio control hobbies where the goal is leave 20% charge in the pack. Going less will damage the pack and shorten its life.

The hook is handy for hanging on a pegboard. Nice touch.

Good value and it exceeds my expectations.

1st things first, don't fall for the battery is great talk. I bought 2 batteries and I kid you not, they last 5 minutes of runtime a piece! If you buy a dremel, at least buy a one with a cord. I had an off brand rotary tool and I should have went back to it. I bought every attachment known to man for nothing. The 5 minute runtime is with cutting btw. This tool does engrave decent but you can buy an engraving tool a lot cheaper. Never again will I fall for the hype! It doesn't even deserve a 1 star. I was so excited to get this in, now i'm so mad I fell for it.

I have been using AC corded Dremels for about 20 years, and always wanted a cordless model that had all the horsepower of a typical Dremel. Well, this is it! This 8200 model Dremel is actually more powerful than my older corded model. The potential applications of this tool are awesome. It does everything any Dremel could do, but without a tether to a wall outlet. I can now cut through steel, grind, sand, polish, brush, and engrave - all outdoors, anywhere. It's like having small portable machine shop.

The 8200 was well spun balanced, with very little vibration even at high speeds. It also seems to be quieter than the AC model.

Plenty of torque, more than my AC Dermel model.

The speed control can take it down to a very slow crawl for polishing to blistering fast for cutting.

The case is rubberized over plastic. Looks like it could withstand impacts well.

The battery fits tightly (an issue on some previous wireless models), and is easy to remove.

The controls are smooth, tight, and feel high quality.

The case has plenty of room for additional attachments. It also comes with a nice starter kit.

The battery seems to last very long and has not been a problem for any of the jobs I have done.

Not made in China, but is made in Mexico.

I strongly recommend this product.

"Quantum Leap Forward" 2010-05-31

After being somewhat disappointed with the 10.8v version of the Dremel Rotary tool, I have been extremely impressed with this latest offering from Dremel. Smaller rotary tools have limited utility in my opinion due to the lack of power and low rotary inertia. The tradeoff, of course, is the need for compactness leads to smaller batteries and motors. The Dremel 8200 is a nice balance. If you have medium to large hands this product should allow you sufficient dexterity for most applications. However, using the product like a writing instrument or dental drill would be tricky for most users.

The striking difference between the 8200 and smaller alternatives from Dremel and other companies is the raw power that is quite surprising for a cordless product of this size. If anything, the 8200 demonstrates how far battery and motor technology has progressed. Some of my early tests include cutting through stainless plate and thick plastic. Upon contacting the stainless steel, the cutting wheel emitted a massive shower of sparks while tearing through the metal. The thick plastic cut test was a piece of cake despite the melting of the plastic that would have significantly impeded cutting with the 10.8v version.

Certain design elements of the 8200 are especially nice. The spring loaded/twist spindle connect mechanism that holds the cutting wheel in place is vastly superior to the screw-on fastening approach on other models. There is also a nice pop-out lithium battery and quick charger, which is especially useful for heavy users.

There are very few limitations. I was quite disappointed with how parsimonious Dremel was with the replacement cutting tools, which included a single large (spring loaded/twist) cutting wheel. Apparently, they are making an attempt at the pay-as-you model popularized by printer manufacturers selling inflated ink cartridges. Even so, the Dremel 8200 is bargain.

The previous model, the 10.8V Lithium Dremel, was my most frequently used motorized tool - until now. This 12V Dremel is my new favorite and blows away the 10.8V model. The battery is much smaller but it packs a lot more power. It feels like the electric version as far as the force to keep going on tough jobs. And it lasts a lot longer too. This is a completely re-engineered Dremel, except for ONE thing, which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. It has the ancient collet for connecting the attachments. This imperfection can be easily fixed by purchasing the Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck, and that makes it easy to quickly swap out the accessories. Overall this is a MUST HAVE for any tool box. There are a lot of places where it is simply impractical to drag along a super long extension cord, but you still need to cut in half a rusty bolt or grind away a little cement.

This kit 8200-2 comes with two batteries.

The other 8200-1 kit includes one battery.

"Intitially a problem but Dremel Service was Excellent" 2010-05-21

I ordered this tool a couple months ago to replace a 10 yr old Dremel that gave up. Upon setting up and using the tool on my lawn mower blade the the new drill locked up within a minute. I heard a rattling sound inside and thought it was a chipped brush. I took out the brushes and one was chipped and broken.

I replaced the brushes and tried again. The motor gave a very bad sound and locked up again. I took the drill apart and found that one of the copper plates that the brushes touch had broken off.

I emailed Dremel support about the situation. I received a prompt email and was directed to send the unit to the Racine, WI service center with all of my supporting documents.

Within a week I received a new drill. I was very pleased to see such a fast turnaround and courteous service. I promptly set it up and went to town on the lawn mower blade and it didn't skip a beat. I did my neighbor's blade as well. I'm a fan of Dremel for over 10 years and wanted to pass the word about this company.

This is a fixed speed basic small grinder/buffer. It replaced a rechargeable battery model that just stopped working. Dremel offers several collects and bits for this, but they have to be ordered separately.

"Great tool until the battery dies" 2010-07-30

This is a great tool with good battery life (duty cycle) to do all my jobs. This has replaced the 4.8v dremel 10x over and its definitely worth the price while the battery is working.

However the battery now is dead and replacement will cost $42 + shipping back to the nearest Dremel service center. I thought that this is information that I would liked to have had on this tool before purchase. For some reason I assumed the battery was replaceable. I bought a corded 4000 in the meantime trying to decide if I really need a cordless tool for an additional $40 for maybe another 2 years... it goes by pretty quickly.

It's a great idea and should be a five star tool because of its wide range of uses combined with great portability. Unfortunately, it just doesn't hold up over time. I bought mine a couple years ago through Amazon (long enough to be past its warranty) and it won't hold a charge anymore. Since there's no way to replace the battery, it's junk. For the first year maybe, it worked very well - though I never used it that hard or all that frequently. Then it started cutting out every once in a while, requiring a restart only to have it cut off again when any pressure was applied. Then it stopped working altogether.

I'm willing to try the 8000 model because I got to used to a cordless tool, so we'll see if that one holds up a little better. The good news is, that one has a replaceable battery so I have more confidence in it than I do with this one. The pistol grip is a nice feature, but I'm more than willing to sacrifice that for a tool that might actually stick around for a while.

I have dogs that I show in obedience, agility, conformation, and tracking. Keeping their nails short and neat is essential for appearance and for their safety. I have used Dremel tools to "trim" dogs' nails for many years. The Stylus is by far the best of the lot. It has higher available rotation speeds for pain free and quick trimming, the light weight and pistol grip gives me more options when holding the tool. I really appreciate the quick re-charge, and the fact that it then stops charging, holding the charge for a long period of time. This is a wonderful improvement on the older cordless models.

I love this dremel!! It holds it charge at full speed for a good length of time. I use it for engraving in stone (which I'm told it's really not meant for) and I use a high speed setting for what I'm doing and it holds it's charge. A lot of tools will start of good and then seem to quickly drain, but this one doesn't. I've never actually timed how long the charge actually lasts but I have been pleasantly surprised how long it does last.

I purchased this tool last year at a big box store at a considerable discount. I didn't need it as I have several corded rotary tools, but It was so cute I bought it and gave it to my wife to use for her craft work. I have since "borrowed" it when I had the need to use a rotary tool for doing very fine work repairing electrical switch gear and some electronics. This is the ultimate tool for that task. The lack of a cord allows for a much better feel of the tool when doing delicate work. I have used it to renovate electrical contacts, removing burned residue without disturbing the base metal and other delicate material removing operations. The variable speed is good. The balance of the tool and the hand grip seems to give me better control that my corded units. I also realy like the battery capacity and shelf life of the battery charge. I don't use it very often, but it is always ready to go. The last time I used it I was working in a water pumphouse with water everywhere and the floor had about 1/4" of water on it. I was very happy to be using a cordless tool in that invironment. The water tank had lost its air charge and the contacts in the pressure switch had burned from repeated short cycling of the pump. I was able to clean up the contacts and put it back in service without a fear of electrocution. The position of the switch and other obstructions made it impossible to use a file or sand paper. Using this tool prevented me from having to dissassemble the piping components, saving several hours of labor.

The EZ Lock mandrel is just what I have been looking for all these years. I've spent countless hours using my dremel to cut metal parts and the old grinding wheels would easily break apart. The replacement process was painful, requiring using a small set screw and a screw driver.

The EZ Lock mandrel can accept a variety of EZ Lock attachments such as polishing wheels, and more importantly, the cut-off wheels that are included in this starter kit. Essentially, the EZ Lock mandrel has a locking cam that requires you to insert the attachment and rotate it 90 degrees so that it fits into another pattern allowing you to secure it. This is a simple 1 second procedure that doesn't require any special tools. It is a true time saver for the hobbyist or gearhead that makes use of cutting wheels for projects.

The downside is the cutting wheel itself. The labeled surface is not very abrasive, so you can't use that side to grind stuff or smooth out surfaces. I know that cutting wheels are really intended to be used as cutting wheels, but I frequently use the wheels to smooth surfaces as well although you can use an abrasive bit to do the same job. The underside of the wheel (the dark side) is abrasive and can be used to sharpen/smooth out metal. The cutting wheels are larger, thicker, and more flexible than the cheap wheels that are the thickness of postage stamps. It is well worth the extra cost.

Pros: The EZ Lock mandrel is a true time saver, a MUST BUY for any dremel/rotary tool kit

Cons: ZERO - the mandrel is awesome!

Overall: 5/5 stars, absolute must buy for anyone that has a dremel/rotary tool

If your like me, then you have used metal cut-off wheels from Dremel for years with frustration. This cut off wheel is different. It's thicker, and its strong, and it's very fast to change out. You will find yourself changing wheels because they have worn down, and NOT because they have shattered. Working on my boat, I was extensively using battery operated Dremel tool. As batteries for Dremels were improving over the years significantly, with last generation of Lithium giving amazing performance, the standard cutting wheels were a constant source of my frustration. Easily turning into dust under heavier loads, and breaking into flying pieces well too easily. As they were the only available type, I was buying them in large quantities and accepting what was available on the market. One day surfing Internet, I found this starter set. Starter, because a new quick connection system is using different disk holder which is included in the kit. I found in other reviews, that disk life is about two times longer as different type of material, closer to one used in big grinders is used. In my opinion it's a great understatement. This is completely different animal. It doesn't break easily, so the small misalignment in the cutting gap doesn't make it disintegrating momentarily. It's so strong, that it rather stops Dremel from turning. It's resistance to wear off is probably about 5 times or more bigger, to compare with standard brittle cutting disks. Last 6 months or so I use them exclusively for comfort of use, and I believe I'm saving money too.

This is not a heavy duty device, but it is extremely useful and should easily last years the way I use it and for its price, I'll buy another when/if I wear it out. There are a significant number of cutoff and cut-into things that I do and this right angle head maks those so much more easily done, and safely done (when wearing a face shield). Just wish I had been looking at what dremel has been doing rather then waiting for my 30 year old dremel to fail before I looked at new accessories. If you are a hobiest and/or into your home repair - get it, you will find uses for it that will undo those aukward angles you do now.

Two examples of why Dremel is still the unquestionable leader in mini-rotary tools:

I recently bought a 4000-3/34 and I wanted to use the chuck I had been using on my old 395 instead of the collets. It didn't fit through the hole in the nosepiece of the 4000, so I took off the nosepiece and enlarged the hole. I wasn't satisfied with the 'quick-and-dirty' job I had done, so I contacted Dremel in Palm Desert in order to buy a replacement nosepiece. Without any questions they told me they'd send it right out to me at no charge as warranty service. When it arrive it was, unfortunately, the wrong part. Well, that's happened to me before, with other companies' tools, so even though they had been good enough to provide it for free (and the tool was working fine as it was) I decided to try again. And again, they told me they'd send a replacement at no cost with no questions or reluctance. Within a few days I had the right part, and I did a better job enlarging the hole (I subsequently discovered that the chuck they're selling now will fit the stock nosepiece).

The reason I had bought the 4000 is that my venerable 395 had broken down and I needed to finish a job without delay. When I opened up the 395 I discovered that there was a "flexible link" between the motor and the output shaft, and it had stripped. It was a short piece of flexible plastic tubing with internal splines to engage the metal shafts at both ends, and it was shredded inside. Initially I thought this was a regrettable design flaw, but I realized that it's just the weak link to prevent the user from damaging more expensive parts by challenging the tool too hard. Anyway, when I went to order the part, the woman who answered knew immediately what I was referring to and was able to complete my order efficiently. She even pointed out that, with the cost of the part being so small compared to the shipping (which was minor as well), I might consider ordering a second one. She encouraged me to leave the second one in the sealed package to prevent it from weakening from oxidation, and it would be ready to install if I should ever need it. Considering how old my 395 is, I'm not worried about that being any time soon. The parts arrived in a couple of days, and my 395 is back in action. And, considering how nice an upgrade the 4000 is, I don't mind having been forced to become the owner of two Dremels.

Dremel tools are well-designed and well-built, as long as the user works within the limits of their appropriate use (these are not industrial die-grinders). Craftsmanship is more a matter of patience and care than brute force. But any tool will require service at some point, if it's used a lot over the years, and that's where a manufacturer shows what they're really all about. With the kind of service I've received, I'd say it's no wonder that no other manufacturer has made much of a dent in the mini-rotary tool market. I had a lot, and man I mean "A LOT' of assorted grinding stones and polishing wheels that were driving me crazy, seemed like every time I had to use my Dremel I had to change the dang collet, I know, "big deal, you had to wait a minute." but now I attached it to the end of my flex attachment, works great !! switching bits is a breeze, don't have to worry about it not being the right collet or not. I found only one problem, I should have gotten two of them.

2nd dremel I had this was a replacement for stolen unit.

I use to use it for minor maintenance jobs. instead of carrying around a ton of tools to do what this unit handles.

My Previous unit I bought all the attachments separately but this unit had all thats needed.

I would say saved me about 30bucks. Even tho my insurance won't pay full cause of there stupid software.

We followed the advice in the manual and alternated between two paws at a time, not keeping the abrasive on any nail for more than a couple of seconds, and we made sure each nail was cool before grinding it a second time. If we had a criticism, it would be to wish only that Dremel would include the -inch drum for larger dogs like Sophie as well as the smaller one. Other than that, its a tail-wagger.

Both my large dog and I hated clipping his nails. I picked this

up few years ago after reading some reviews and have never looked back.

Not having to worry about cutting off too much nail makes it much

less of a chore. It has plenty of power for the job, the batteries last

through quite a few clippings and I don't have to worry about working around a cord.

I can't imagine going back to a clipper.

I have an old Dremel MiniMite that I use on my cats claws. The only difference I can see from the pet version is the MiniMite has a rechargeable battery and a few different bits. Pet version rpm's is a little higher. The MiniMite does what I need it to do. My cat doesn't seem to mind as long as I use the slow speed. I'm not sure if it also makes a difference that I changed the sanding tube to a finer grit than the one it originally came with. I think the vibration is the issue not the noise. I decided this because I have an extremely loud vacuum cleaner and my cat will continue to nap when I am vacuuming just a few feet from her. She doesn't even flinch. I think it's what she feels, not what she hears, that disturbs her.

I use the Soft Paw nail caps on her. When they fall off, the nail underneath is long and sharp. I still have to trim the tips of the nails with the nippers then use the Dremel to file the nail down to where I need it and sand away the old glue. I have a video on YouTube that I took of my cat when I was replacing a cap. MissBiscuit823, "Kitty gets her manicure". You can see how she jerks away when I forget and put it on the high speed. She is so good when I do her nails but I can tell you that didn't happen overnight. It takes time and patience to get your pet to accept the whole nail grooming process. You can expect your pet to be resistant in the beginning.

There are lots of videos on YouTube where people and professionals give tips on how to do your pets nails. There's some very good tips but also a lot of videos where you can clearly see what the pet owner is doing wrong! I've seen people trying to use Pedipaws which is like a Dremel and they are doing it totally wrong and frightening their pet. In the end they decide the product is to blame when it's obviously not the tool that's the problem.

Also, I know several manicurists that use the Dremel to sand away callouses from the feet when doing pedicures. Don't know how they sanitize it but there's another use for the Dremel you may not have thought of.

I had the Peticure, but it died after a year. I read some other negative reviews of the peticure when I went to purchase another one so I didn't want to buy it again. Which brought me to the Dremel. It is great. My dogs nails have not looked so good in a long time. The Dremel is not surrounded by a protective cover like the peticure, so you have to be super careful when filing your dogs nails. I have a system where I grab the digit and squeeze the protruding nail so minimize the vibration and of accidentally filing another nail or part of the paw that shouldn't be filed. It takes some practice, but I have it down pat now. I installed batteries when I first got it (4 AA's) and they have lasted for about 2 months with a filing maybe once or twice a month. (I only file a little at a time because my dogs nails got to be so long and I don't want to file too low to the quick, so I file a little at a time to allow the quick to recede before filing again). And then I bought rechargeable batteries anyway, to not throw away so many batteries.

I really recommend this product.

I purchased this item to use to file my dogs' toenails. Every time I try to use it, the battery pack separates from the body of the tool, so of course, the tool stops running. I've tried several different ways to remedy the problem but have not been able to come up with anything that works. Also, even when it is fully charged, the battery only lasts long enough for me to do one dog's nails. I found the switch a problem as well as it doesn't "lock" into each position of slow, off and fast and was therefore difficult to turn off. I was unhappy with this product almost immediately upon using it and I have replaced it with a Dremel with a cord.

I have the corded Dremel, but because of the cord it has limitations, so I bought this. I RARELY use my corded Dremel anymore. I only use this one now. It's amazing AND you are not giving up very much. Battery life is great, and torque is really strong. I am able to use this in any application, and the only time I go to my corded one is if I forget to charge this one. I have used this to cut through pipe, trim out wood, score tile, and much more. It's so easy to use, and so versatile that I am always finding new uses for it. It is also very well made. Mine gets knocked around a lot and even fell a couple of times and it still keeps going. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a home or does any kind of DIY project.

My sole purpose for buying this tool was to trim the toenails of my two large dogs. That it does very well with the least amount of stress for my dogs and the most ease for me.

I did have a problem with my Dremel, as the battery portion would come loose from the top grinder part as I was using it (the battery and tool clip together). I thought at first I was squeezing it too hard to cause it to release, but it turned out to be defective. Dremel, the company, was very apologetic and told me to send it back to them. They sent me another one within a short amount of time (2 weeks).

I bought grinders in the past that burned out in year (Craftsman brand) (the rechargeable batteries wouldn't hold a charge) right after the warranty was up. Dremel is warranted for two years, which is much better. It should not be asking much for 5-10 minutes of grinding on toenails every other week to last for many years. But at least I now know that the Dremel company stands behind their products. Since I did have to pay $12 for shipping and confirmation to send it back, I have to take away a star.

Part count includes many multiples of the same items. Im not so sure that everybody needs 3 dozen sanding discs.

The Dremel is a terrific tool to keep handy. This specific model has all the power you need in a cordless Dremel. It easy handled all the tasks I have asked it to do, including cutting plywood with an attachment I purchased separately.

Have not use this tool much since it's a spare unit but it feels solid and strong enough to handle minor tasks ,especially when you're away from AC outlet ! My main concern is about the Lithium Ion battery can be able to hold the charge while in storage ! With the sale price and most of positive reviews before purchase ,i am happy with the unit !

I could go on an on and on about how much I love my Lithium Dremel. It just sits in the closet all charged up for whenever I need it and does all sorts of stuff. I won't go into the stuff that others have probably already said about this device, but I would recommend that people (particularly apartment dwellers) purchase the Lithium powered one with an extra battery. Just keep it charged up and you will use it for random little things all the time. Oh and its really fun to use too...just wear your safety glasses!

First off, everyone will have their own experience with this device, so I wanted to make it perfectly clear that I am not agreeing or disagreeing with any of the other reviewers. In my experience with the Dremel 8000-03 10.8v model, I have had nothing but success with it. I use it for many various jobs around the house (i.e. trimming the dog's nails, polishing brass, drilling pilot holes, removing stubborn nails or screws, woodworking projects, etc). While I think this device is perfect for these types of jobs, I do not see it being durable enough or built for cutting massive sheets of drywall, sanding an entire table all at once, and so on. It has a great amount of speed and power and so many attachments you just don't even know what all this thing can do. I do agree with one thing another reviewer that said, which is that some of the attachments are a mystery. They are color-coded in the instruction manual as to their function (i.e. cutting, sanding, etc) but it does not tell you what specifically you would use some of them for or what materials they will are sufficient to be used on. I have found that going to purchase attachments and bits for it at the store or on each individual Amazon product page, you can learn a little bit more specifically what its intended use is. The battery life is average, lasting a combined run time of about one hour, which should be sufficient for most jobs. If it runs out, you can recharge it in about two hours based on my experience.

If you are looking for a useful and multi-purpose power tool that will do just about any strange or small task you can think of, but are not going to rely on it to be your only power tool used for a job, then I would definitely recommend purchasing this unit. If you need it for large jobs or are going to use it continuously for long periods of time, you may want to consider a corded unit. Of the 150 or so pieces, about 90% are sanding disks or something similar. This is a rip-off of the first order. I expected much better of Dremel (Bosch) than to advertise a 150 piece kit and then include mostly cheap pieces of sandpaper. There are actually about 21 distinct pieces, not even close to 150. There appears to be about 20 distinct pieces in the 160 piece accessory set. Back to Amazon with them. If there were a good substitute for it, I'd return my Dremel Moto tool also. I know, it is my own fault, I should have spent an hour trying to figure out the assortment in detail. But I thought that Dremel would play a fair and professional game with me. Not so, apparently.

Having a Dremel is worth nothing if you don't have the right attachments to get the job done. I purchased this kit at Wally World to satisfy my need for vengeance. Did I say vengeance? I meant... ummm.. never mind. The savings here is enormous. If I ever run out of anything I'll just buy another one of these and sell off what I don't need, huge profits are to be had,

My one suggestion to Dremel is to make the case a little more, well, square. It has to be stored on top of everything else because of the odd shape. Now, the handle, and holes for frequently used attachments is nice and all, but it does get in the way of storing the thing. And having the storage compartments split in two like it is makes it a little awkward to get the tools you need.

Either way, this set is perfect for any Dremel owner, you never know when you're going to need one of the twenty or so tools included.
